What is Zoryve?

Zoryve is a prescribed cream used to treat plaque psoriasis.Zoryve includes roflumilast, which is part of the group of medications known as the phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) inhibitors. It reduces inflammation in plaque psoriasis.

Important information

Zoryve is intended for use on the surface of the skin (topical application) only. Don't use it around your mouth, eyes, or vagina.

Who is not a good candidate for Zoryve?

Don't use Zoryve if you have specific liver issues.

Before you take this drug

Before starting treatment, inform your doctor about your medical conditions, especially those that:

  • Have liver issues
  • You are expecting or plan to be pregnant. It's not clear whether Zoryve can affect your baby's development.
  • If you are nursing or planning to, It's not clear whether Zoryve is absorbed into breast milk.

Discuss with your doctor the best method to feed your child while being treated with Zoryve.

Breastfeeding mothers who use Zoryve should only apply it to the area with the least amount of skin and for the minimum period of time. Don't apply directly to the nipple or areola in order to prevent contact with your infant.

Interaction with other drugs

Inform your doctor about the medications you are taking, such as prescription and over-the-counter medications as well as vitamins and herbal supplements.

Be sure to inform your doctor when you're taking any of these medications:

  • Erythromycin
  • Ketoconazole
  • Fluvoxamine
  • Enoxacin
  • Cimetidine
  • Birth control pills that contain the hormones gestodene and ethinylestradiol.

How to take Zoryve?

  • Utilize Zoryve as per what your doctor or healthcare professional instructs you to do.
  • Apply the cream on the areas affected once per day. Massage the cream into your skin until you do not notice it.
  • Wash your hands following the application of Zoryve, unless you have been treated. If someone else is applying the cream on your behalf, it is recommended that they wash their hands following the application of Zoryve.
  • Zoryve is a treatment for plaque psoriasis and psoriasis on folded skin (intertriginous skin) for people who are aged 12 and over.
  • It isn't known whether this medicine has been proven safe or effective for children younger than 12 years old. Age.

Usual Adult Dose for Plaque Psoriasis

Apply daily to the affected areas.

Comments are for topical use only. Not recommended for oral, ophthalmic or intravaginal usage.
Treatment: topical treatment for plaque psoriasis, which includes intertriginous regions, for patients aged 12 or older.

Side effects of Zoryve

The most commonly reported adverse effects are:

  • Diarrhea
  • Headache
  • Trouble sleep
  • Nausea
  • Application site pain
  • Infections of the upper respiratory tract that affect those of the upper tract
  • Utis are urinary tract infections (utis).
