What is Chlorcyclizine-pseudoephedrine?
Chlorcyclizine is an antihistamine that helps reduce the effects of histamine, the natural chemical that is present in our body. Histamine is known to cause nasal congestion, itching, eye watering, and a dry nose.
Pseudoephedrine can be described as a decongestant that shrinks the blood vessels that line the nasal passages. The blood vessels are dilapidated and can lead to nose congestion (stuffy nostrils).
NasOpen is a mixture of medicines designed to treat the symptoms of a stuffy or runny nose. Itching, sneezing, sinus congestion, watery eyes, as well as various symptoms of a cold and allergiesNasOpen can be used for other purposes not mentioned in this medication guide.
Side effects of Chlorcyclizine-pseudoephedrine
Contact a medical professional immediately if you notice any of the following symptoms that indicate an allergic reaction: hives; trouble breathing; or swelling of your lips, face, or tongue.
Nasopen may cause serious side effects. Take a break from NasOpen and consult your physician immediately if you suffer from:
- Heart rate that is irregular or fast;
- Tremor, seizure (convulsions);
- Urinating less frequently than normal or none at all;
- Extremely dangerously high blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision, a ringing in your ear, anxiety, chest pain, confusion, seizures, irregular heartbeats).
Common adverse effects of NasOpen can include:
- Dizziness, drowsiness;
- Constipation;
- Blurred vision
- Feeling anxious or feeling anxious

Warnings

Before you take this drug
NasOpen is not a good option for you in the event that you are allergic to pseudoephedrine or chlorcyclizine.

Speak with a physician or pharmacist to determine if it's safe to take this medication in the event of any other medical condition, particularly:
- High blood pressure
- Coronary arterial disorder (hardening of the arteries) ,
- Bladder obstruction or other issues;
It isn't known if this medication can affect a newborn baby. Don't use cough or cold medicines without medical advice if you are expecting.
This medication could be absorbed in breast milk and harm a nursing child. Antihistamines or decongestants could also affect the production of breast milk. Do not take cold or cough medicine without a medical recommendation if you are breastfeeding an infant.
How to Take chlorcyclizine-pseudoephedrine?
Follow the directions on the label or as directed by your physician. Don't use in greater than smaller quantities or for longer periods than prescribed. It is generally recommended to take cold medicine only for a brief period until the symptoms subside.
Avoid giving this medicine to children younger than four years old. Always consult with a physician prior to giving a cold or cough medicine to children. Death can occur because of the improper use of cough and cold medicine in very young children.
Measure the liquid dosage using a spoon that is specially designed for measuring doses or a medicine cup. What happens if I miss a dose?
Because cold medicine is used in times of need, you may not be following a dose schedule. If you take the medicine regularly, you should take the missed dose whenever you remember. Do not take any missed doses if it's close to the time of the next dose. Do not take a second dose to make up for the missed dose.

Nasopen can cause blurred vision and cause problems with your thinking or reaction. Be cautious when driving or doing any other activity in which you need to stay aware and in a position to clearly see.Alcohol consumption can cause an increase in certain adverse effects associated with this drug.
Talk to a pharmacist or doctor prior to using any other cough, cold, allergy, or sleep medicine. Antihistamines and decongestants can be found in a variety of combination medications. When you combine certain medicines, it could result in you taking excessive amounts of a specific medication. Examine the label to find out the presence of the antihistamine or decongestant.
Interaction with other drugs
Consult a physician or pharmacist prior to taking this medication if you're taking any other medications that include prescription or over-the-counter medications, vitamins, or herbal products. Certain medications can trigger unwanted or harmful effects when combined. Some interactions may not be mentioned in this medication guide.
Combining this medication with other medicines that cause you to sleep or cause breathing problems can increase the severity of these effects. Consult your physician before taking NasOpen along with a sleeping pill or narcotic pain medication, muscle relaxers, or medications to treat anxiety, depression, and seizures.
