What is Lanolor Cream?

Lanolin can be found naturally in the wool of sheep. The manufacturing process used to make this product reduces certain allergens found in lanolin.Lanolor Skin Cream is used for the treatment or prevention of dry skin.Lanolor Cream can also be used to treat sore or cracked nipples that are caused by breastfeeding.This medication guide does not list all possible uses for Lanolor Cream.

If you have an allergy to Lanolor Cream, do not use it.

  • Large areas of irritation on the skin;
  • Allergies can be of any kind.

Lanolor cream is unlikely to cause harm to an unborn child. If you're pregnant, consult your doctor.Lanolor Cream can be applied directly to the area of skin around the breasts to treat any conditions that may arise from breastfeeding. The product will not harm nursing babies. Only use as directed.

How to take Lanolor cream?

Lanolor Cream comes in either a cream or an ointment. Follow the directions on your label or those prescribed by your physician. Use the recommended dose and do not exceed it.Take it only as directed. The lanolor cream should only be used on the skin. Rinse with water if this product enters your eye, nose, mouth, or rectum.Use lanolin topically to gently rub the area.Lanolor cream can be used to soothe sore nipples. Apply the cream in a small amount after every feeding. This medicine does not have to be washed off before breastfeeding again.Before applying Lanolor Cream, clean the area thoroughly and let it dry completely before applying. Use it at every diaper change.If you want to prevent or treat radiation-induced skin burns, ask your doctor which product to use.If your symptoms don't improve or worsen while you are using Lanolor Cream, call your doctor.Keep the bottle or tube at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. When not in use, keep the tube or bottle tightly closed.

What happens if I miss the dose?

This product can be used whenever it is needed. There are no daily dosage instructions. If your condition doesn't improve, consult a doctor.

Overdoses are rare.

Lanolor cream should not be applied to the eyes.
