Our body works on different macronutrients and micronutrients and it needs calories as a fuel source when we eat food the food further broken down into different elements and smaller particles these smaller particles have further categories which include:

  • Macronutrients
  • Micro nutrients

The major division of macronutrients include:

  • Carbohydrates
  • Proteins
  • Fat

What are carbohydrates?

Carbohydrates is one of the main macronutrient which helps our body as a main fuel source. The further carbohydrate converts into glucose which is the main fuel source for our body. Carbohydrates help us to work on a daily basis and manage our energy levels. When you eat food, almost all foods have carbohydrates in them so it is a plus point if you are eating food with high amounts of carbohydrates.

How Carbohydrates Help to Manage Energy Levels in body?

Carbohydrates really help us to work and manage our whole body requirements including our liver and other organs energy consumption carbohydrates also responsible for our energy. Carbohydrates are generally found in beans, fruits, whole grains, corn, cookies, sweet potatoes and many other uncountable foods. That’s why nature made carbohydrates easily available for everyone to meet their daily calorie environments. Carbohydrates are a very cheap source of calories. Many types of carbohydrates perform different functions but the main reason sweet carbohydrates are faster is conversion of food into energy and to meet our daily requirements of carbs intake.

There are many foods which have high amounts of carbs in them and also very cheaply available from the market. Sugar is also a major source of carbohydrates. The following are the foods which have massive amount of carbs in them

  • Fruits
  • Rice
  • Corn
  • Barely
  • Oats

Types of carbohydrates

Carbohydrates are basically divided into two major subdivisions

  • Simple carb
  • Complex Carb

Simple carbs:

The simple carbs are those which can be easily digestible for our body and also when we take simple carbs they are digested within 15 to 20 minutes. Simple cars are a quick source of energy and provide a kick when you need energy more in less time. Simple curves are present in white rice, sugars, fruits and honey. Simple carbs are really beneficial for those who work really hard before doing a lifting activity. You can take dates which are good In carbohydrates and have simple carbs in them.

Complex carbs:

complex carbs are those carbs which cannot be easily digestible forever. It requires time to digest complex carbs. It takes for more than three hours to digest complex carbohydrates they remain in our system for longer period of time than makes us full so we don’t feel hunger after eating complex carbs it is more common to feel hungry immediately after taking simple carbohydrates because they are easily digestible than this complex cars are mostly found in wheats and oats.

What is the role of carbohydrates in improving health?

There are many different benefits of carbs but the most common are discussed below:

Higher energy levels

When you take carbohydrates daily in your morning breakfast and even if it’s your meal in the afternoon you will feel a high emotive energy boost in your body because carbohydrates are easily digestible for your body and gives a boost to your system  which makes you feel good and motivated at the same time. Carbohydrates for a while are the supreme level of well-being and your brain health is also very good when you start taking carbohydrates in good amounts.

Increased cognitive abilities

when you take carbohydrates daily and in good amount along with proper other nutrition as well your cognitive abilities will become more efficient and fast because carbohydrates have serious effects on brain capabilities and its efficiency when you take carbohydrates in the form of honey or other simple curves it directly stimulates your brain and signal your CNS that resources are enough you can do your work more efficiently and consume more energy than normal so your brain things there are much energies are so it increase the capabilities of its other cognitive functions which makes your cognition very good through the day.

The other forms of carbohydrates which are complex carbs have the ability oh make your weight same at that point because when you take complex carbs in your diet it helps you to remain full for longer period of time so when you’re full you don’t want to eat and that’s the main reason how eating carbs in his complex form helps weight loss and also maintaining weight of an individual.

When you take carbohydrates that are high in fiber like wheat and oats this will be responsible for your intestines to make stool less hard than normal so your bowl moments will be perfect and you don’t find difficulty in any kind of digestion or problems with Constipation.

How are processed carbs different from unprocessed carbs?

The un-processed carbohydrates are those carbohydrates which are simply found in nature like maze, barely, wheat and corn. These carbohydrates are pure and natural ready to eat. We can eat them as much as we want and they have no negative effects on our body.

The processed carbohydrates are those carbs which are processed by machinery in factories. These include bakery cakes, breads, brownies and cookies. Sometimes the processed carbohydrates can be very dangerous for your health and cause many health conditions which are really painful like diabetes, kidney failure and even higher amounts of refined carbs make obesity to a higher extent.
